Graduate Scheme, Lloyds Banking Group UK

Lloyds Banking Group runs ten graduate schemes across the United Kingdom, based in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Chester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Halifax, Leeds, London and Manchester. Most run for two years; Corporate Banking and Markets runs two and a half and Accounting & Business Insights runs three.

What the work involves

Structured rotations through different parts of the Group, real responsibility from early on, a named line manager and buddy, and in several schemes a funded professional qualification. Depending on the scheme that might mean relationship management, credit and markets work, risk frameworks, chartered accountancy, software and cloud engineering, data science and AI, cyber security, product ownership or people analytics.

Common requirements

• The existing right to work in the United Kingdom — Lloyds states plainly that sponsorship is not offered for graduate schemes
• A degree held or on track, ideally a 2:2 or above, with subject requirements on some schemes
• Technical evidence where the scheme is technical, such as Python and SQL for Data Science and AI
• Willingness to spend a minimum of two days a week in your assigned office, and five days for some roles
• One application per candidate per recruitment year, so the scheme you pick is the scheme you get
